INTRODUCING: THE SILVERNAIL LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP FMHCA proudly announces the establishment of The Silvernail Legacy Scholarship, a donation-based scholarship dedicated to honoring the late Dr. Darlene Silvernail. Dr. Silvernail, FMHCA's inaugural executive director, was a pioneering figure in the mental health community. This scholarship offers comprehensive support to students, encompassing full conference admission to the annual FMHCA conference, complete registration for the FMHCA Summer Bash, and registration for the 8 hour Laws & Rules course needed as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. To qualify for consideration, applicants must be FMHCA student members and residents of Florida. They are required to submit an essay outlining their suitability for the scholarship, along with their academic background, a financial need statement if applicable, and a letter of recommendation from a university director or advisor. The scholarship will be officially launched at the FMHCA Summer Bash event. However, donations are currently being accepted and can be made by texting "SILVERNAIL" to 44-321 or by clicking here. |
