Description: This session explores how the Enneagram offers clinicians a powerful framework for understanding and transforming the internal patterns that drive stress, burnout, and disconnection in their professional and personal lives. Rather than focusing solely on deficits or character flaws, the Enneagram emphasizes a strengths-based approach to self-awareness by helping clinicians understand why they think, feel, and behave the way they do. Through the lens of the Enneagram’s Centers of Intelligence and Core Motivations, clinicians will learn how their internal worldview shapes their relationships—with clients, colleagues, and loved ones—and how to recognize blind spots that may undermine their effectiveness or emotional well-being. By integrating this internal “GPS” into reflective practice, clinicians gain practical tools to access underutilized strengths, reduce reactivity, and foster deeper resilience and empathy in the face of professional demands. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of their own Enneagram type and concrete strategies to support sustained personal growth and clinical presence.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Introduce clinicians to the 9 Enneagram types, offering a foundational understanding of how each type’s unique personality patterns and perspectives show up in personal and professional relationships.
  2. Identify the core motivations and stress triggers of each Enneagram type, helping clinicians recognize how these internal drivers influence their communication styles, conflict responses, and approach to workload and burnout.
  3. Explore practical, Enneagram-informed wellness strategies tailored to each type, empowering clinicians to cultivate greater emotional resilience, reduce burnout, and operate from a healthier place in both their clinical practice and personal lives.
