DescriptionThe rise of digital technology has transformed the way we live and work, and mental health care is no exception. With the growing availability of digital tools, including teletherapy, mental health apps, and online support groups, mental health counselors have a unique opportunity to provide care in new and innovative ways. However, this new landscape also poses several challenges, including ethical, legal, and regulatory considerations. This presentation will explore the opportunities and challenges of digital mental health for mental health counselors in Florida and across the United States.

  3. Summarize best practices for providing effective and ethical care through digital mental health tools in counseling practice. This learning objective is important because it provides attendees with an overarching framework for integrating digital mental health into their counseling practice. By summarizing best practices for providing effective and ethical care, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to provide high-quality care to clients through digital mental health tools while adhering to ethical and legal guidelines.
