DescriptionParticipants will learn the signs that someone is thinking about suicide, specific steps they can take to engage the person in turning toward life, and important information about how to support survivors of suicide loss as a prevention strategy. This is an experiential workshop and participants will have the opportunity to practice asking questions and engaging in suicide prevention with gentle guidance in a supportive learning environment.

About the Presenter:

Maureen Pollard is a registered social worker with 30 years experience in the field. She operates a private practice in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada and specializes in grief and trauma, as well as resilience and wellness for professionals in high-stress, trauma exposed workplaces. She is also an author and a songwriter.
