Description: Upon completion of this program the participant will have increased knowledge regarding the use of technology and telebehavioral health within their practice. Participants will have increased knowledge and skill as it relates to the clinically appropriateness of technology and treatment. Ethical and legal implications will be presented; along with clinical techniques and actions steps human service workers should take to ensure their client's safety when using technology for treatment sessions.

About the Presenter: 

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor Maryellen graduated with her MSW in 1994. She has been a therapist for over twenty-five years and has concentrated in addiction treatment since 2005. Considered a “Subject Matter Expert” in the field of tele-health, Maryellen has worked with the Florida Certification Board, the Addiction Treatment Technology Center and SAMHA as an educator and trainer in the use of technology and treatment.
