DescriptionThe Therapeutic Martial Arts is program that is designed to combine several evidence-based clinical approaches and therapeutic interventions using group structure and Martial Arts.  The Therapeutic Martial Arts Program Level 1 Certification training familiarizes participants with a uniquely innovative program.  Participants are introduced to research and practical application of Therapeutic Martial Arts.  Techniques of stress management, anger control, improvement of self-esteem, goal attainment, as well as deeper traumatic issues. Participants will learn and be able to apply the Threat-Aggression Modulation Response (TAMR) Model, meditation, and clinical interventions utilizing Martial Arts techniques.  Additionally, this course will assist participants to set up the Therapeutic Martial Arts environment or apply these skills in their own practice.  All participants will be given a discount to join the International Therapeutic Martial Arts Association (ITMAA.org).

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will advance their knowledge in the research of alternative therapies.
  2. Participants will be able to understand philosophical and practical approach of the Therapeutic Martial Arts.
  3. Participants will be able understand to apply the Threat-Aggression Modulation Response (TAMR) Model.
  4. Participants will be able to set up their environment or apply techniques of the Therapeutic Martial Arts within their practice.

    About the Presenter:

    Dr. Eric Yuri Reznik is a clinical psychologist. He has a successful practice for over 35 years and he is recognized nationally and internationally for his innovative and comprehensive clinical approach. Currently, Dr. Reznik maintains a full-time clinical practice at BeWell Rehabilitation and Counseling Group, Inc., in Hallandale, Florida. He has taught in many colleges and universities, and currently, he is an adjunct faculty member at Barry University. Dr. Reznik has published books titled Saminchilu, The Way of Life; Love, Pain, Deceit, and Other Human Mysteries; as well as Therapeutic Martial Arts. Dr. Reznik has also studied and taught Martial Arts since 1983 and he has designed Therapeutic Martial Arts as a form of therapy combining psychological therapy and Martial Arts.

    Cancellation Requests:

    All cancellation requests must be made in writing and confirmed via the email account used during registration. Only the original applicant can request a cancellation.


    Please be advised that FMHCA reserves the right to cancel any scheduled event up to 7 days before its occurrence if there is an insufficient number of registrants required to conduct the event. In the event a workshop is canceled or rescheduled by FMHCA, the attendee has the right to a full refund.


    Refund Process:

    Refunds will be issued through the original payment method to the original payee.


    No Show and Partial Attendance:

    Any participant not checked in by the training start time will be considered a "No Show," resulting in the cancellation of the seat, registration, and credits without a refund.

    No refunds will be provided for "No Shows," partial attendance, late arrivals, early departures, or incomplete training.


    Professional Conduct:

    Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and ethically throughout the training.

    FMHCA reserves the right to request a participant to leave the training if their behavior is deemed unprofessional or unethical, leading to the cancellation of their registration without refunds.


    Recording Policy:

    Participants are strictly prohibited from recording training sessions through electronic devices (audio/video) or distributing any recorded content.


    Cancellation Policy:

    More than 60 days prior to the start of the conference: 50% refund.

    30-59 days prior to the start of the conference: 25% refund.

    Less than 30 days prior to the start of the conference: No refunds will be issued.
