Description:

This presentation will introduce participants to a systemic, relational approach to therapy paired with the unique modality of equine- assisted family therapy, developed by Shelley Green, PhD, as a clinical intervention. The relational approach utilized is inspired by the work of Douglas Flemons, PhD and will be described through a detailed case study. Equine assisted activity details will be provided to illustrate how a relational framework fits with the clinical modality of inviting clients to partner with horses in order to create systemic change.
