Hello,

My name is Grace Cantor, and I am a PhD candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Regent University. I am conducting a research study titled “Humor Style and Secondary Traumatic Stress Among Licensed Counselors: An Adaptive Mechanism?” Secondary traumatic stress is a risk factor for counselors, and I am interested in studying ways to mitigate and prevent it. The purpose of the study is to better understand the relationship between humor style, emotional separation, and secondary traumatic stress symptoms among licensed counselors.

You are eligible to participate in this study if you are:

(1) over the age of 18 and

(2) a licensed mental health counselor

This study will take about 20 minutes to complete. Your participation in this study is fully voluntary, and your responses will be kept confidential. If you choose to participate, you may discontinue at any time, and you may also skip any questions you don’t want to answer.
