This presentation will introduce the foundation and multiple practices of mindfulness and how it has been blended with cognitive therapy to provide an evidence-based approach to increasing emotional resiliency. Learning Objectives:
Rachel Block-Stewart has been a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida since 2017. Rachel currently works as a LMHC in a group practice and provides qualified supervision to RMHCIs. Rachel has extensively trained in yoga therapy and has been a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) since 2015. Rachel has incorporated yoga and mindfulness strategies in therapy since 2010 both with in the school system, outpatient therapy and private practice settings. Rachel is currently working on certification to teach MBCT through Brown University.
