About InSession Magazine

InSession Magazine is the official publication of the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association (FMHCA), designed to inform, inspire, and empower mental health professionals across Florida. Tailored specifically for mental health professionals, each issue provides valuable insights, expert articles, and the latest industry updates.

Our mission is to support mental health professionals in their practice by delivering relevant resources, continuing education opportunities, and thought-provoking content. Whether you're seeking practical tips, legislative updates, or stories that resonate with your experiences, InSession is your go-to source for professional growth and community connection.

InSession accepts two types of articles:

• Professional Experience Articles – These 400-700 word articles are members' first-person pieces about a topic related to their experience as a mental health professional or an opinion about a trend in the mental health counseling field.
• Professional Resource Articles – These are longer, 2000-2500 word, in-depth pieces intended to provide insights for the author's clinical colleagues on how to be more effective with a particular type of client or a client with a particular disorder, or tips for running their practice more efficiently.

We accept articles from volunteer writers quarterly, with the following submission deadlines:

• March 15th
• June 15th
• September 15th
• December 10th
