Description: This webinar is designed for mental health professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of narcissistic abuse (a form of domestic violence) and enhance their therapeutic skills in treating survivors. Narcissistic abuse, often perpetrated by individuals with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) or those with narcissistic traits, is a form of domestic violence that can leave profound and lasting psychological impacts on victims, including complex trauma, anxiety, and depression. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the dynamics of narcissistic abuse, including the manipulative tactics commonly used by narcissists, how narcissistic abuse qualifies as domestic violence, the long-term effects on survivors, and the challenges in recognizing and diagnosing this often-hidden form of abuse. The webinar will also explore evidence-based treatment approaches and interventions tailored to support the recovery and empowerment of survivors. By the end of this session, clinicians will be equipped with practical tools and strategies to effectively assess, diagnose, and treat clients who have experienced narcissistic abuse, fostering a path toward healing and resilience.
