Description: This presentation is designed to help counselors, case managers, behavioral health technicians and anyone else who works with client who have experienced trauma. We will discuss that what trauma does to the brain's fight or flight system and why client react they do when confronted with a trigger. We will look at SAMHSA's Keys to Trauma Informed Care and discuss how we can help clients without retraumatizing them.

About the Presenter:

Dr. Meredith Moran is a licensed therapist and owner of Front Line Wellness. She is a former police officer who now works with first responders and the military to treat PTSD and other trauma related challenges. Prior to opening her private practice, Dr. Moran spent 12.5 years working with substance addiction at Operation PAR. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
