Description: This presentation will discuss the history of racial and ethnic health disparities in the US and identify some of the factors contributing to the prevalence of the issue.

About the Presenter:

Dr. Dorcas Matowe is Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of Florida and Illinois and an Approved Supervisor for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). She is an adjunct professor and also in private practice. Her doctoral research examined Marriage and Family Therapists' Knowledge and Perceptions of Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities.
