Learning Objectives:
Dr. Sandra E. Pascual was born and raised in Argentina. Her journey has taken her to vibrant cities around the world, including Mexico City, Hong Kong, and Atlanta, due to her husband’s work. In 2022, she relocated to Boca Raton, which led her to obtain dual licenses in Georgia and Florida. Dr. Pascual earned her Master’s in Professional Counseling from Argosy University in Atlanta. In the early years of her career, she dedicated herself to providing counseling services at a clinic focused on underserved Hispanic communities. In 2013, Dr. Pascual returned to Mexico City and took a sabbatical year. As she reflects, “I was so bored that I needed to do something with my life. That’s when I discovered my true passion: sex therapy.” She completed a certification in sexuality at the Instituto de la Pareja in Mexico and shifted her practice to specialize in sex therapy for individuals and couples. Upon her return to the U.S., Dr. Pascual became an active participant in AASECT conferences. In 2018, she founded her private practice, Notus Professional Counseling, which transitioned to a fully virtual practice after the pandemic. After obtaining her AASECT certification in sex therapy, Dr. Pascual pursued a PhD in Clinical Sexology at the Modern Sex Therapy Institutes (MSTI). Her doctoral research focuses on sex after menopause, forming the foundation of her current work.
