About the Presenters:

With over two decades of dedicated service in operations management within mental health and non-profit sectors across Florida, Melissa Owen Norris is a seasoned expert and advocate for practice owners. In establishing TherAssist Practice Concierge, she empowers practice owners through comprehensive education and support in crucial areas such as business development, insurance, staffing, and billing.

Melissa's deep understanding of organizational dynamics and government policies has earned her recognition from both state and national organizations for her commitment to compliance excellence. Her extensive experience navigating complexities with FL Medicaid, AHCA, DCF, DJJ, COA, CARF, and insurance plan audits uniquely positions her to guide providers towards achieving compliance success on their own terms.

Ryan Jennifer Fontaine is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 17 years of diverse clinical experience, spanning residential treatment programs, in-home, and office outpatient counseling. She holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Currently, she is a consultant and trainer for TherAssist and the clinical director at a local mental health counseling agency.

Initially focusing on trauma and child welfare, Ryan has expanded her expertise to chronic mental illness, mood disorders, identity development, and HIV. She has extensive experience supporting families and children through adoption. Since 2014, she has been involved in program management, staff training, and quality assurance, developing trainings and providing documentation review to enhance compliance. Her experience with Medicaid, ACHA, DCF, and other audits uniquely positions her to help agencies achieve high compliance standards.
