DescriptionThe course is designed to cover three areas necessary to pass the NEW NCMHCE exam: knowing how the exam is constructed, knowing what areas are covered on the exam, and learning a structured approach for diagnosing the case studies presented in the exam. Often, students and individuals in the field but not licensed will approach the exam in the same manner that they deal with clients according to the agency they are working in. However, the exam is based more on a theoretical construct and evidence-based practices back by research. Not having access to the DSM-5 during the exam also adds another dimension that requires the student to memorize criteria, durations, and differentials that compound this exam's difficulty.
