Description: In our field, helping is at the center of our work. Having compassion and empathy for others is at the heart of the healthcare professions. Hence, we take care of ourselves to provide the most optimal environments for our clients, so they can receive our guidance and to begin their process of change in the most effective way. Many times, we are our clients’ pillar of hope for their lives to improve. Therefore, focusing on our own self-care can make a significant difference to us personally and professionally. This presentation will include a literature review about effective ways that we, professionals, can take care of ourselves to prevent burnout in our post-pandemic world. This webinar will include empirical findings about how various Eastern and Western approaches helped individuals to maintain balanced lives.
