DescriptionDo you work with couples and want to expand your focus to include affair healing? Counseling with couples is both challenging and exciting. And dealing with the devastation of affair(s) only adds more layers of healing. This workshop will focus on how to handle the first session with listening to the story and setting expectations. The other topics discussed will be stages of affair recovery, SUPPORT, unproductive responses to emotional pain, trust, and defining hurts and repair. Sandra will also cover the risk factors for an affair and recognizing signs for an inappropriate relationship. Sandra B. Stanford draws upon her experience in the counseling room as well as the resources from AffairHealing.com (Tim Tedder), Brene’ Brown, Linda J MacDonald, Stefanie Carnes, PhD, Dr. David Ferguson, and Dave Carder.
