Description:

“We haven’t seen anything like this before” is how many people described 2020 which rocked the stability of American culture in every area – business, economy, education, travel, relationships and especially the physical and mental health of all citizens. Yet if a mental health professional has never experienced a crisis like this before, how can they be expected to manage it personally, while attempting to guide their clients forward to survive continual stress?  Especially since the pandemic is now ranked by the CDC.gov as the third most likely cause of death, falling behind heart disease and cancer.

Every counselor is going through this pandemic at the same time, facing the same set of risk factors. However, not every counselor is managing it the same way. Why are some counselors and behavioral management organizations bouncing back quickly and profitably during the pandemic, while others are struggling or even shutting down?

Some seem energized and organized to build their ‘new normal’ while others are feeling emotionally stuck or frozen in the fear of what is coming next during this prolonged crisis.  During the global recession Harvard Business Review reported that 17% of companies disappeared while 10% scaled up and expanded services. What do they know that you don’t know to successfully navigate major changes? And how can experienced therapists benefit the most?

Consider the significant changes facing professional counselors since the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic in March 2020 –

·       Lockdown / social isolation / loss of direct connection to clients and coworkers

·       Working remotely without the need for an office to see clients face to face

·       Adjusting to new governmental regulations about being ‘in-office’

·      Learning new technologies to stay connected to client’s mental health needs

·      Understanding new protocols for HIPPA compliance with telehealth

·      Helping clients manage political unrest over racial tension and social justice issues

·      Misinformation during a pandemic sparking rumors and angry reactions

·      Encouraging unemployed clients who lost jobs and the ability to pay for therapy

·      Exhaustion and depletion from trying to keep up with continual change

Everyone reacts differently to a crisis. Some face the pressure directly, reinvent and flow through the continuous waves of change. Others feel overwhelmed like they are drowning and may become self-destructive or quit out of exhaustion. 2021 and beyond is a time of seismic change for mental health professionals. Will you be ready – or will you be left behind? Ask yourself these questions to find out -

-        What steps can you take as a mental health professional to maintain work life balance during the pandemic and post-pandemic years?

-        How can an aging practitioner work fewer hours by leveraging their years of experience for greater income?

-        How can counselors help people desperately seeking mental health care during a time of recession when many clients may be unemployed?

-        Where could new counselors find trusted mentors to speed their career journey?

-        Will you and your practice be ready to manage a continual surge of new clients?

-        Do you know what services to expand, and which to abandon in the post-pandemic years?

-        Are you navigating from a detailed post-Covid timeline to identify where you are at personally, as well as where you want to go as a professional?

This webinar will give you a rapid analysis of the significant changes to the industry of mental health counseling, while outlining the necessary steps to take in adapting to a post-pandemic world. A world where mental health services will be sought out in higher levels than ever before. Join us for this interactive webinar designed to equip you with strategic skills to move forward in strength during these unprecedented times.
