Integrating Transpersonal Theory and Energy Therapies for Spiritual Clients

Description: Traditional social work practice uneasy relationship with both spirituality and energy healing may limit social workers who would consider using them to enhance their work. Following a brief discussion of how Transpersonal Theory offers compelling rationale for their integration, three energy healing techniques will be demonstrated. Spirituality can unite people of various cultures together. Through Transpersonal Theory and its inclusion of spiritual practices social workers can offer clients effective tools to assist them in making sense of traumatic and challenging events.

About the Presenter:

Paty 'Mariposa' Hernandez is a Stress Release Expert who empowers compassionate professionals who are overwhelmed and stressed to transform and achieve holistic wellness in their lives so they can feel happier and healthier using complementary therapies. She is an international speaker and offers self-care workshops and presentations focused on incorporating Eastern and Western therapies in English and Spanish. Paty is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida with a dual Master's degree in Social Work and Public Health, plus numerous certifications in Usui Reiki Master/Teacher, Mindfulness Techniques, ThetaHealing, and Wellness Coach. She specializes in working with people who struggle with issues dealing with trauma, stress, anxiety, and depression related to relationships and career.
