How to find and keep self-paying clients during the many months of this pandemic, so you can focus on counseling instead of feeling worried about finances. This webinar includes a workbook with over 100 pages of specific tools. This is a valuable training for folks seeking self-pay clients. Even one new client will more than pay for the cost of the training.

COVID-19 has created significant mental health challenges in the United States which are expected to extend throughout the rest of 2020 and well into 2021. Many researchers are calling this the greatest mental health crisis of modern times and the struggles people are facing seem to be growing in severity by the day.

“How are Americans coping with the crushing realities of the pandemic and the economic crisis forming in its wake? Nationally, around a third of Americans have reported recent symptoms of anxiety and depression since late April. It’s a sign that along with all the sickness and death, the social distancing restrictions, separation from families, and the deteriorating economy, Americans are facing a severe mental health crisis.” - survey from the Census Bureau and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, May 29, 2020

A huge spike in mental health issues should mean every counselor has a full schedule of helping clients in need with extended waiting lists for their services. So why are many in private practice financially struggling during this pandemic?

  • Millions have lost their jobs and have no insurance coverage
  • Referral sources may have closed or gone bankrupt during the lockdown
  • Clients dropped out of therapy due to fears of disease and have not been in touch since COVID-19 lock down began
  • Potential clients never knew about your services before the pandemic
  • Potential clients have relocated and do not know about you
  • Many counselors were never trained in graduate school on how to find clients who would pay directly for their mental health services

What if you could learn the 21 principles that will connect you to the clients who need your expertise and professional services? Counselors trained in the 21 principles of connecting to new clients focus on the treatment of those under their care without fear of not being compensated for their services.

Sadly, too many counselors remain stuck in the frustrating pattern of not being able to connect with new clients, which is often why mental health ranks among the lowest paid profession in the United States which requires a master’s degree.

The average mental health counselor makes $44,840

– US News and World Report

The average household income is $59,039 - U.S. Census Bureau

There are no secrets to adding self-pay clients to your practice, but there are new skills that can help you connect using the 21 principles.

Who should attend this two-hour intensive?

  • ·         All counselors who want to fill their practice with self-paying clients
  • ·         Interns or recent grads who want to build a private practice upon licensure
  • ·         New counselors interested in adding self-paying clients to their practice
  • ·         Seasoned practitioners interested in expanding profitable services
  • ·         Counselors who want to learn how to add new self-pay referral sources

How much does the training cost?

This two-hour intensive training is $49 for FMHCA members, $59 for non-members. (Comparable self-pay practice training sessions are upwards of $499).

Even one new self-paying client would cover the cost of attending. Plus, there will be an extended time of Q/A after the training is completed to answer your specific self-pay practice development questions.
